This is a free all ages art show with all proceeds from sold pieces going to Surfers Healing!
Dear Artists, We are putting together an art show to benefit Surfers Healing and raise Autism awareness. Surfers Healing is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that travels around the US and other countries to spend the day with autistic children and give them an experience that they will never forget. It is a unique counter culture way to give something special to our children and has personally helped our family cope with many challenges that Autism brings. My son and I were able to experience this years autism surf camp, you can read about our amazing experience on the following page. The fundraiser will be held in Birmingham, AL but artists from all over the nation are invited to participate.
We would be honored to have your donated pieces to show and sell at the fundraiser. We will be presenting 100 pieces of art from artists of all ages and some who are on the autism spectrum. We chose the number 100 because the CDC recently announced that 1 in 100 children now have autism.
What we are seeking from artists on the Autism spectrum, of all ages: - an original drawing, painting or collage 4×4 to 24 x 24 OR any of the below.- a short bio of yourself - your contact information What we are seeking from other artists:
-unique one of a kind objects with collages, paintings, or drawings. (ie: a blank skateboard or anything else “different” as your canvas) - any size one of a kind paintings or drawing (these do not have to be framed) - a short bio about yourself for display - your contact information.
